1. Minimum Educational Qualification
Candidates who have completed Class 12 with a Science background can pursue this course. Students must have studied PCB or PCM (Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Mathematics) as main subjects and scored a minimum of 50% in the passing examination to be eligible to pursue this course.
The minimum age to pursue this D Pharma eligibility is 17 years and candidates must possess valid certificates of passing an examination and relevant entrance examinations to get enrolled in D Pharmacy.
D Pharmacy admission can be done either on a merit basis or based on entrance examinations. Therefore, candidates aspiring to make a career in the pharmaceutical industry right after completing senior secondary education can pursue D Pharmacy.
In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in qualifying examination be not less than 40% instead of 45% as above.
OR
In case of candidates from the stream of Vocational Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, the candidate shall have taken a minimum of 5 (five) subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to the vocational subject and shall have passed the said examination in all the subjects individually and shall have obtained a minimum of not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in the qualifying examination.
In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in the qualifying examination be not less than 40% instead of 45% as above.
2. Candidate shall be medically fit.
3. Married candidates are also eligible for admission.
4. Students shall be admitted once in a year.
